I feel the same way. I wasn't 100% sold on the game. After playing the demo I feel like I need this game day one. Everything about the demo felt so well done. This is really the type of game I've been waiting for on PS4.I wasn't checking for Nier at all. The initial trailers and gameplay demos were very meh to me. However, after playing the demo, I've done a 180. That was really polished and well done.
Don't it though? The menu style, the menu sounds, the areas, the character moves a lot like raiden, even the way the little robot speaks to you it feels like a codec conversation. Hell I even noticed the enemy life bars look just like metal Gear Solid. None of this is bad at all though. It actually made me even more excited playing the demo. Im definitely picking this one up day one.Demo was dope. Feels like a metal gear spin off
Yeah all of that. I like the way it plays though, real smooth. The little twin stick shooter mechanic is pretty cool. I'd still give bayonetta 2 the crown for combat and actin but this is good too. It's better than MGR imo.Don't it though? Way better than MGR. I thought that game was sloppy and it's even more apparent after playing this demo. Her dodge move is the most perfect evade mechanic I've ever seen in gaming. The buttons took a second to get used to because so much is going on with all four triggers at once, but the overall controls are incredibly polished.Yeah all of that. I played it on hard first try and got the hang of it right away. the evade move feels just like Bayonetta's witch time evade except it doesn't slow down time.It wasn't too hard on hard mode but I ended up dying at the what I thought was the last boss(The two big spinning gears).Way better than MGR. Did you finish the demo. The final form of the boss is dope. It's crazy how much they switch things up and keep everything seamless.I played it on hard first try and got the hang of it right away. the evade move feels just like Bayonetta's witch time evade except it doesn't slow down time.It wasn't too hard on hard mode but I ended up dying at the what I thought was the last boss(The two big spinning gears).
