When did I say millions were spent pre-civil rights??? Obviously there were no sports programs then but the government sure as hell backed sports in order to ensure Americans compete at the highest level against other countries...which increased visibility.

I don't know what amateur bullshyt boxing is like these days, but America used to send fighters like Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Leon Spinx, Michael Spinx, Sugar Ray Leonard, Sweet Pea Whitaker, etc., to those games. Hell the 1976 USA amateur team a lone was full of Hall of Fame boxers. That team won 7 total medals, 5 of them were gold.

I wouldnt generalize and say most of them on the continent think that way. The problem is here in the US we tend to get the bougiest of every group, add the proximity to and need to show out for the american white and thats a bad combo. Every black group has enough issues on their own they should be more concerned about before turning their nose up at others, and Nigerians are no exception to that. From South Africa to Italy to Dubai they catching a lot of hell right now. UAE just banned em from getting visas over rising crime.
