Does anyone else think that Nigerians are over represented in sports such as football, basketball, and track and field? I usually don't resort to pseudo science, but I'm starting to think that Nigerians in general have a genetic predisposition to sports that require explosiveness, power, and speed (sprinting, jumping, etc.). I also think that this is why some African Americans are so good at basketball, football, and track since most African Americans are of Igbo descent anyways (I legit can't tell the difference between an African American and an Igbo... most of the time). No racist, just sharing my opinion. I mean look at this shyt. This Nigerian kid moved here a year ago and he's now the best defensive end in the nation at the high school level. HES NEVER EVEN PLAYED THE SPORT.

It's great. My roommate sophomore year used to be pissed as hell about it. Dude was always lifting. Always had a protein shake in hand. Dude was 6'1" 225 white boy in ROTC. I was lazy af. Ate cookies with every meal but I would roll out of bed out lifting the dude.
One day he looked at me and said it was bullshyt and that "your Nigerian genes aren't fair". Just hit him with the :umad:.

Nigerians aren't over-represented, if anything they are under-represented.

We are talking about the most populous black nation in the world here. There is hardly any worthwhile scouting scheme for sports like football and basketball in Nigeria.

If funds were actually put towards developmental academies, and Nigeria had "pop warner" styled organizations in the country, you would see a whole influx of sporting talent coming out of the country.

There's no reason why Nigeria shouldn't have discovered or developed a Usain Bolt or Cristiano Ronaldo by now.

This thread feels weird.
With that said, if a West African country got money to build a basketball/football infrastructure, it'd be a wrap for FiBA/FIFA.
I know it's weird, but I had to address a trend that I've noticed lol. There's no way i'd ever mention this in rea
Now some AA are claiming to be Nigerian since it's in style. :mjlol:
I'm Congolese so I don't know what you're talking about lol.
