The heights
They used to though. First time they retro'd in 2006 it was mayhem out here
2013 release was even crazier :russ: but the shoe was 160 it was more affordable the reason why asics 1130 and NB 9060 is because of the price the asics 1130 are 110 retail and the NB9060 are 160 retail the 2025 grapes were 210 before tax if the grapes was 160 in 2025 they would've instantly sold out

New York City & Neverland Ranch
- stuff has been too pricey too long
- Gen Z is broke
- Gen Z and Alpha wear dusty slides and dirty crocs with dirty pajama pants (and so do some older heads). So if they can’t be bothered to wash their asses, putting together a clean fit is down on the priority list
- other brands have stepped it up big time
- Michael Jordan shouldn’t have to save the whole company for 100 straight years

Brooks and Hoka's?

Y'all boys gotta be flabby as fukk 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
People are just throwing shoe brands out here and it’s hilarious to me. I mean you got kids wearing crocs and shoes from Primark and H&M and shyt and folk are in here saying nike is dead. @CrimsonTider said there’s a bunch of competition out here and that’s just the truth. A lot of the newer Nikes ain’t it but people are still wearing them.

Breh do your homework.

Both brands have been killing it for at least 4 years and Brooks has been doing to even longer.

They have a die hard fanbase if you just consider the part of the market that is only runners who actually run. We are talking about people dropping $150-200 a shoe a buying 4-5 pairs a year when you think about a runner’s weekly rotation (daily trainer, speed work shoe, long run shoe, race day shoe).

Do the math — folks running 30-80 miles a week in shoes that last 300-400 miles. They are spending $$$$

Hoka, Brooks and NB are eating.

Then look at the lifestyle side. We already see what kind of a run New Balance has been on. And then look at the health care industry that seems to exclusively be rocking Hoka and On.

Now look at the suede versions of Hokas that people wear for fashion.

Nike has been playing catchup in all of these categories and next year will show if they’ve made up some ground. They were down 12% in the market last year and got a new CEO just to turn this mess around.
