Nike been had the game all the way fukked up tryna make shyt exclusive and whatnot, that's why I hopped on the New Balance wave because I didn't have to jump through hoops and pay resale (most them shyts fake anyway, spoiler alert) taxes. Maybe now I can finally get some fresh retros at reasonable prices

My generation, hs c/o 2013 the last one to care about Jordan's to a fanatical degree, Gen Z lukewarm on them cause they prefer more variety in what they buy. NBA ain't as culturally important and so is hip hop music, the driving force behind the hype. Also they released too many color ways so people just eventually got so many jordans they probably got tired of them or are content with that they have and aren't swayed by the re releases they already have.

I'm glad it's over. They burnt Jordan brand out. Same Breds every other year. There's no prestige to any of the classics anymore. They jerked the 11s, 3s and 4s, 13s and lastly the 1s. It's over.

These Gammas will be my last purchase. I'm in OG sneakerhead. Had the Pearl Foamposite in the 90s when they first dropped. That's when you had to be a hustler or from a rich family to have Foams and Jays.
If it wasn’t for the retros Nike would be dead in the water

I’m not talking another Jordan’s either

Vomero, dunks, air max etc

Only thing keeping Nike afloat

Bondi 8s are the truth. Them shyts big as hell though if you're a size 12 and up. Looking like you slipped your feet in some jet skis :russ:
Yeah that's a fact, I wear size 11 and sometimes I'm crashing into shyt, they're like clown shoes after size 10-101/2 but the comfort :banderas:

Breh do your homework.

Both brands have been killing it for at least 4 years and Brooks has been doing to even longer.

They have a die hard fanbase if you just consider the part of the market that is only runners who actually run. We are talking about people dropping $150-200 a shoe a buying 4-5 pairs a year when you think about a runner’s weekly rotation (daily trainer, speed work shoe, long run shoe, race day shoe).

Do the math — folks running 30-80 miles a week in shoes that last 300-400 miles. They are spending $$$$

Hoka, Brooks and NB are eating.

Then look at the lifestyle side. We already see what kind of a run New Balance has been on. And then look at the health care industry that seems to exclusively be rocking Hoka and On.

Now look at the suede versions of Hokas that people wear for fashion.

Nike has been playing catchup in all of these categories and next year will show if they’ve made up some ground. They were down 12% in the market last year and got a new CEO just to turn this mess around.

I knew if I shytted on Brooks and Hoka I would get a reaction 😭😭😭😭😭 I was just dropping some bait so I can get my rocks off

Avg person in Hoka or Brooks is a sloppy built muffuka with poor posture who need them shoes on some health shyt not because they getting active and you know this

30 miles a week? Not the wobbly muffukas I see wearing those shoes 😭

I'm currently running in the Vomero 18 which is part of Nike's line up to compete with Brooks/Hoka and whoever else

ALSO an ugly shoe that I wear for the functionality.....I would never wear this shyt if I wasn't working out in them.....but at least they Nike's 😭

Seems like half the thread is talking about shoes from a Fashion vs Functionality POV

I stand by what I said Brooks/Hoka are flabby....why do you need a special pair of shoes to walk around and do nothing? Because you're flabby 😭 (not you personally)
