Umm “that’s my nikka” is DEFINITELY a term of endearment in black spaces. And while no one is saying you have to or should use it, knowing the original meaning of words goes a long way. One thing for me is for sure and that’s that I’m not going to allow cacs to redefine words or symbols as they wish and go along with whatever whim they decide to go with. Of course, you do you tho.

Oh and ultimately, the ONLY reason you view it as negative is because of cacs.
:yeshrug:
One example that I have not seen used since the 1990s does not change the fact that it is used negatively 99% of the other times. Come on now brother, you can reason better than this.

Seriously, this desire to hold on to a word that is self-derogatory at best when used and outright stated with malice at worse is really a self-perpetuating psyop in my opinion. Why are some of us so determined to continue using a word on each other that we know for the most part has a negative connotation?

Oh yea, and your last sentence is utter BS. That word is used continuously in a negative manner in our music, in our parlayance with each other, in our arguments, in our talking down on each other about our actions, etc. That word is negative because of White people and because of our own people's present use.

I will need an actual source for this. So if you have an actual citing for that, i.e. the actual researcher who stated this, I would be greatful.
Same here since there's no such words as Ka'Ma'atian or TaMUURian.

Search Google.

All I know is... Don't sit up and rack your brain over the problems in our community or how to solve them if if ain't got the fortitude to let go of a word the precedes your life by 8+ times.

Cats ain't even cracked their 40s and think they defeated 400 years of abuse and murder that their great great granddaddy couldn't escape :martin: talk about arrogance

:gladbron: but if you DO let it go :blessed:

Breh,

There ain't no real source for that.

Just a combo of words, that aren't related.

Basically it's nonsense.

The population(s) we derived from, did not use the word "Negus", which has its origin in Modern Ethiopia.
The "Neter" thing is also false, as no one in Kemet was going around calling random people "Neter", it was used only for deities.

All in all, it's Pseudoship, with no valid sources, just hodge-podging terms and concepts together anachronistically.

It's a way to justify and keep using the word.

By twisting it into something that is "Pro Black".

It is acutally ANTI-BLACK to keep using it, and even worse trying to JUSTIFY using it.

Oh, I knew that brother. I put it out there that a source is needed, but I did not expect an actual valid source to be brought forward. This same ole pseudo-scholarship mess was going on when I was down at Morehouse. It really comes down to also wanting to believe a beautiful lie instead of accepting an ugly truth with some of our people.

Yeah, It’s a trash word. Some rappers wanna kill ah N, Women think N aint shyt, Can’t trust a N…. A long list of negative connotations giving by Black people associated with the word too. It’s not a term of endearment but it has a lot of Black people addicted to its use. Some Black are like masochist with this word.

Cap. “nikka” is used as a term of endearment interchangeable with “friend” or “dudes.” “Me and my nikkas in the club” is interchangeable with “me and my friends in the club.” “I don’t fukk with them nikkas” is the same as “I don’t fukk with them dudes” The only reason you take the word as negative is because cacs took the original meaning and replaced it with one that has a negative connotation…

Imagine cacs taking the black fist tomorrow and turning it into something negative, and the next day having a person saying we have to put the symbol down because cacs made it into a negative? It’s stupid yet that’s what y’all will do with the n word or swastika or confederate flag.

What? :heh:
you wrote this in 2018:deadrose:

So??
I don't frequent Asian forums.
And from what I've heard that's mild compared to what they say...

Even the UN had to remind Chinese just last week to stop being racist against Africans online. Yeah
