Watch as Ace sits there ready to give it all up. The money, the women, cars, and clothes. He realizes that this life he leading isn't sustainable and that he has a target on his back at all times. He values his life over his money.

Now notice the nonchalant attitude shown by Rico. His friend is in there injured and looking like he got hit by 3 buses yet he sits there eating a chip. As if Ace's wounds don't concern him. A true sociopath tooth and nail. Rico tries to convince Ace to continue hustlin by downplaying his experience. "nikkas get shot everyday b" as though the consequence of that experience doesn't matter. The suffering doesn't matter. Rico doesn't care. All he cares about is keeping his money coming. He was never Ace's friend, he used him and it shows here. He won't even look him in the eye, the envy and hatred is evident.

In this scene all the things Ace had been thinking about since he's been shot come to fruition. His people don't care about him, they only care what he can do for them. They want his spot and eventually someone like Rico if he decides he wants it will kill for it. Ace understands now that Rico is disconnected from empathy. A true sociopath. As he makes his snide remarks and consumes his chips, Ace has mentally cut Rico off. He no longer considers him an ally, instead sleeping beast waiting to strike.

Mitch couldn't see past the facade Rico put up and this is what lead to his ultimate demise. He was too trusting but not Ace. He knew and his intuition is what made him a mastermind.

It's too explicit my brotha. He literally spells it all out and how he feels. There isn't that non verbal cues and symbolism shown in the scene.

It's a great monologue but it isn't a true display of the power of cinema. You have to look harder my brotha

It was mad frustrating that Mitch couldn't see how demonic Rico was, especially in that scene.

I know I would have looked at him funny after that.
