I didn't know regular cars even had two different types of fuel :flabbynsick: :flabbynsick: :flabbynsick:

I know certain pickup trucks require diesel fuel which is different than the fuel most cars/suv use, but I never heard of premium fuel until this thread :ohhh:

Then again my mode of transport in life was usually some variation of the vehicles in the pic below :francis:

Lexus is far more reliable than the German luxury vehicle brands only because Lexus has outdated, less advanced mechanical components, technology & powertrains along with limited available luxury & tech features.
Well yeah German rides are top of the line, but that also means they're more finicky. If money is no object, go German. If you're able to afford luxury but don't want a money sink, go Lexus.

Personally.....I'd say you buy a Lexus and lease a BMW/Benz, for the average person. Buying German is for people that are very "Type A" about car maintenance. Most Americans aren't.

manuals/stickers aren't the be all end all for optimal fluid choice tho

american manuals lie about what oil to use for the purposes of meeting their stated mileage, non-NA markets with the exact same engines get different oil recommendations

so if you have oil consumption and live somewhere like arizona it may be helpful to run say 5w30 instead of 0w20

idk that's just the first example that came to mind

This man said Sam's Club.:scust:

If you don't use BP or Shell you pouring gravy on yourself.
Any gas as long as it has the Top Tier logo is what you should be going for. BP & Shell does, Costco also, Sam's Club isn't or BJs
