I gotta agree with you. I know far too many nikkas in my personal life who share those sentiments. The darkest nikka I know told me he "doesn't like darkbutts":aicmon:

I occasionally hear similar rhetoric from Black women but no where near as much as I do from nikkas.
yea bruh its insane

As a lightskin man, I agree that women are more obsessive about skin tones than men. Men will make shallow comments almost as often regarding it but on a deep, social level, its women by far. And this is from personal experience.

As for myself, I have no preference to skin tone, only feature sets. I will say that I've noticed that I am usually attracted to the polar opposites of the scale meaning I will atleast notice darkskin and lightskin women before I notice the middle tones with all things being equal. I suppose its just the contrast to the spectrum. But p*ssy is p*ssy and as men, we generally will only concern ourselves with the level of attractiveness to said p*ssy. Women however take that shyt to heart and base their world views over it.

well if effects women a little more than men, thats like whites saying black focus too much on racism when they have to deal with it constantly. i hardly ever hear black women saying they dont date darker men or really caring about skin color when it comes to men period. i guess we all have preferences but its strange almost every black man shares the same preference.

Yep. Women like to put that negative stigma on guys and it does happen. But I've always seen women way more caught up in skintones. Whether it being they want a light bright or an Idris Elba/Morris Chestnut type cat. Women will tell there friends off bat what color the dude is when describing him, "He's tall and darkskin :gladbron:!"

Guys we will go down the laundry list of characteristics and then finish off, "Oh and she's lightskin :smugfavre:"

Kinda tells where the priorities lie in the genders, but we're supposed to be the visual ones. :ehh:

My philosophy always been, if you fine, you're fine regardless of color, I don't discriminate. :yeshrug:

It effects them more how? Because they get it from other women as well as men? That is kind of my point. Preferential treatment is preferential treatment. Whether they choose light or dark, women harbor much deeper issues and even more shallow issues with skin tone than men. A nikka can say whatever he wants about how he only wants a lightskin woman and will chase after a woman that looks like Bria the very next day. Women shape their dynamics with men AND women about it. If you disagree, thats cool because we can only base this on our own personal experiences but the general rule is its either gonna be a push between the genders, or women by far.

Are you using rappers opinions as the standard for all black men :what:
:camby:
I didn't say all.
I can only talk about what I see on the internet, and in entertainment.
Irl I don't come across black people that put people on pedestals basked on skin tone.
I know 2 black guys that exclusively date non black women (and I watch them consistently get treated like shyt by these women-but that's another topic )

1. This thread isn't about what black women want.
2. Black men are more obsessed than black women. How many songs are out about black men wanting "red bones"? vs how nanny songs are out about black women wanting light skinned men? I'll wait.
Lightskinned women look better.
Deal with it
