It's really not just a running joke.Cena really does come off as pretty adamant about keeping some semblance of distance in their relationship. And it's not just "no marriage".
She put herself out there as kinda desperate. Bad move, for men or women.

Show is low key one of the funnier things the WWE ever put together.
I low key feel bad for her.
But then I remember the main reason why she's putting up with her situationship and I sleep easier at night.
She wants that kid with Cena so she can legally leech from his money for the rest of her life instead of doing real work like a respectful woman. So see through....

As noted, WWE Diva Nikki Bella is currently out of action as she rests a number of nagging injuries, including bulging discs in her neck.
WZ Daily regular Ryan Satin of ProWrestlingSheet.com is reporting Nikki is trying to avoid surgery to fix the bulging discs in her neck, and ProWrestlingSheet is also reporting the injury could have ended her career.
The report adds the bulging discs were pushing on Nikki’s spinal cord, creating extra fluid in her nervous system, which means taking another bump in the ring could have resulted in paralysis.
