Only in 2023 do we make it a negative that he plays more games, and is actually available and not hurt. Are we really complaining about NBA players PLAYING now?

Yeah, more wear and tear and he's still putting up those numbers. You thought you had something here. :mjlol: .

Peak NBA right here folks, using actually playing in games AGAINST someone in a discussion. :mjlol:
:comeon:so are yall skipping over the fact that the thread title tried to make it seem like he was leading all these categories in per game

op should have mentioned "total" in the title

Top 5 big ever

At his current pace and barring major injuries, he may finish his career top 5 all time period, no qualifiers. He’s still just 28. Shaq didn’t start his 3-peat until he was 29.

To put it in perspective: Larry Bird, with his non-dominant defense and injury-plagued finish to his 13 season career at age 35, is considered top 5-8 by most sports publications (ESPN, Sports Illustrated, CBS, The Athletic, Bleacher Report, etc)…

…well, Jokic is producing at a higher level than prime Bird ever did. It’ll just come down to titles won as far as perception.

League is lucky Jokic has an injury plagued Murray as his #2, as opposed to a young Kobe/DWade equivalent (think current SGA) like Shaq had or a super team like Bird’s.

Exactly. With the way nikkas sit out so much these days we might need to start looking at total points/dimes/boards etc more closely. Who's stuffing the stat sheet AND actually steps on the court every night?

He’s 8th in the league in PPG and 4th in APG. He’s just played more games.
But would he be #1 if those other guys didn’t rest to be able to put up their numbers?

Which we have seen has been exposed in the playoffs when they can’t be chilling at spas and have to come correct pause every other night.

NBA fans aren't ready for that uncomfortable conversation that will need to happen. If Jokic wins again, we are talking about Jokic vs. Shaq and Hakeem debates. One more title after that and then he will be discussed in the Lebron category.

Man I shake my head wondering what would Hakeem be doing in this era if a slow footed unathletic Jokic is dominating like this.

Dream is better on the post, more athletic, faster, quicker and about 3 times better on defense than Jokic.

But Joker is a beast, I don't know how he does it, but he does.
