Nicole Kidman in 'Nine Perfect Strangers'
Hulu is proceeding with the long-rumored second season of Nine Perfect Strangers. Nicole Kidman is returning to executive producer and star, with a new group of the titular strangers around her. Two-time Oscar nominee Liv Ullmann, Emmy winner Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus The Last Of Us), Dolly de Leon (Triangles Of Sadness), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) and Turkish actor Aras Aydin are set to star opposite Kidman, sources tell Deadline, with casting of the remaining roles ongoing.
Based on Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty’s book, Nine Perfect Strangers hails from David E. Kelley, Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, Kidman’s Blossom Films and Fifth Season.

I’m like three episodes in, and the Melissa McCarthy character is pissing me off.
EDIT: Also I hate what they’re doing with Regina Hall’s character. She’s playing the hell out of that role respite the limited & inconsequential screen time so far.

9 Perfect Strangers is worth a try! It has a solid 7.0/10 IMDb rating, with strong performances by Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy. The limited series, with only 8 episodes, is perfect for a short commitment, ideal since you’re hesitant to start a new show with nice weather. Critics are mixed (59% on Rotten Tomatoes), but audiences enjoy the drama and suspense. It’s engaging for casual viewing, and with season 2 coming May 21, 2025, now’s a great time to catch up.
