I’ve read the book- people either see the book as a warning or an instruction manual. it was on the required reading list at my school and
Nineteen Eighty-Four - Wikipedia
It's the book OP is being so vague about.
It looks like a cool little si-fi story.
If OP is trying to have a discussion, then he should reword or redo the title and his intro.. sheessshh. Would have been an interesting thread had it been about “Dystopian Predictions” or books/ movies related to current events.

The world of George Orwell’s novel 1984 is still the most famous dystopia ever created, and for good reason. Even people who’ve never read the novel, or seen an adaptation of it, or even know what “Orwellian” signifies would still be likely to recognize the ominous intonation of “Big Brother is watching you”; even students who snoozed through most of their English-lit core requirements still shudder at the mention of Room 101. There are reasons for this, of course. Orwell was a talented writer, and intentionally or not, in Oceania, with its various ministries and dreams of Doublespeak, he reached beyond allegory, building a consistent, believable world which was both fascinating and horrifying at the same time

Lol.. I was in private school, that’s the only reason I knew and then over the years it’s been incorporated into a lot of sci-fi, thriller type books and movies. It’s the basis for a lot of different subjects though - the whole Big Brother is watching, New World Order, government, predictive programming, apocalypse etc. If you ever see movies like “They Live” or “V” .. with the Orwellian Elements
