We already have a Super Nintendo and we already have a Switch - 'Super Nintendo Switch' would be an SEO nightmare first and foremost lol.

There is nothing wrong with Switch 2 and any NPC that's too dumb to figure it out, that's not for us to worry about

Wii U sounded like an add on. While the Switch 2 literally has a 2 in the name. Nobody is getting confused with a big ass 2 in the console’s name.

They even marketed it as an add-on

PlayStation 2 is the top-selling console of all time iirc and were people confused when that dropped? Anyone here who thinks Switch 2 is a bad name better not be defending Xbox One's name.

Kids gonna be getting Switch 1s on accident.

Nintendo is PURPOSELY confusing parents. They will actually surpass PS2 sales for the Switch 1 due to the console name confusion to be the top selling console of all time.

There’s been 3 switch models released already.

Realistically this is “switch 4”

“we already got a switch at home” is what lots of parents will say until somebody makes a case for why Switch 2(4) is worth the upgrade.

Did consumers get confused watching iron man 2? Watching avengers 2? Frozen 2? Do consumers get confused buying PS5 and PS5 pro, or PS4, PS4 pro, iPhone 16, 17, 18? 18 plus, 18 max, 18 lite, 18 pro, 18 pro max?
