This thing is a total waste. The only Wiis that are worth a damn are the initial batch that plays Gamecube games. none of the other ones are worth buying.

No you don't. I hacked my wii by downloading files, then putting the SD card into the wii. I think I did the twilight hack which was a save exploit that put homebrew on there.

But all of them can play DVD files aka movies on your HDD if you put the right program on there
