Even though I was raggin on it...cop the 2DS...it's cheaper...has all the benefits of the 3DS (minus 3D, but the 3D is garbage anyway)

If you/him/whoever is going to go digital cop a bigger SD card, system only comes with 4GB.

Retail: Pokemon X/Y, Mario 3D Land, OoT 3D, Tetris Axis, Epic Mickey
Digital: Shifting World, VC titles (Mario Land, SMB)...Pushmo, Crashmo,

@Rekkapryde if you want to save yourself money buy a ds lite plus acekard 2i, you can download the ds games depending the space of micro sd card. The 2i also works on 3ds if you plan to upgrade later.

If it were for me and not my son, I'd definitely do that.

If you wanted to do it legally, than just buy the 3ds what I'm supposing is piracy. Don't want your son asking you is downloading bad, and if it is why are there downloaded games on his ds, might send him down to the path of .

I meant does Nintendo offer the digital versions of games to download legally from them instead of buying the physical media version?

I believe so, never did it cause im a physical copy kind of guy

i think its only possible through there Nintendo eShop, which requires a 3DS
