Honestly I'm satisfied. Between games that I need to play on my X1, and the 10-12 quality WiiU games that I will get eventually once I cop the system, not to mention living real life lol Ill be :eat: for a while

Retro's been working on a new game since October 2013
Miyamoto says the next big 3D Mario is in development for the new hardware in 2014

and theres Zelda

assuming these are for the NX, that's a pretty crazy launch lineup right there

Apparently Nintendo failed to mention that Metroid Federation is a lead in to the next Metroid Prime game.:wtf:

http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/06/17/e3-2015-what-metroid-primes-producer-wants-in-the-next-sequel

Why didn't they just say so from the start!?:dahell:

Not only that, Miyamoto said they could've shown a ton of gameplay footage for Zelda but held it back :snoop:

plus they localized Mother 1, but not the game people really wanted and have been asking for 10 years, Mother 3 :mindblown:

just when I thought this company was turning itself around :mindblown:

I think this is the problem of them saying they were only going to focus on the immediate future (2015) at E3. They probably could've shown a lot more (even stuff dropping in 2015 like Devil's Third), they chose not to. Which would be cool if they didn't keep their mouths completely shut about what's coming after 2015 which makes it seems like they've got nothing (when they could've at least announced some stuff in development, even if they aren't showing it).

Isn't this just the very definition of irony, folks asked for Metroid, Star Fox and Zelda and they got Metroid, Star Fox and Zelda, just not the way they wanted. I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry, probably the latter.
I'm more sad over what they did to AC.
I'm pretty sure they were referring to home console releases.

People don't spend hundreds of dollars on a stationary device only for
the platform holder to essentially pretend it doesn't exist.
I get that they probably want a return on investment and they're likely
deciding which titles to make based on market share but damn
Wii U is getting that Black sheep of the family treatment.

People are upset and rightfully so in my opinion.
I'm a Wii U owner but I've also got a ps4 so I'll be able
to enjoy a ton of releases. People who are Wii U only users however
are getting the shaft.

Metroid Boomin want some more

Nintendo's next home console Metroid Prime game will now likely not release until the company has launched its next-generation console, codenamed NX.

Speaking to Eurogamer at E3, Metroid Prime series producer Kensuke Tanabe said that due to the amount of content such a game would require, it would probably take several years to develop.

"If we started for Wii U now, it would likely take three years or so. So it would likely now be on Nintendo's NX console," he said.

"It's a long time but it would need to include a lot of content, which would take a lot of work on the development side."

Speaking with Tanabe, it was clear he had plenty of ideas for the game, including a focus on a single planet that has a time-shifting mechanic, similar to Metroid Prime 2: Echoes' single planet with dark and light variants.

"Instead of broadening it to more planets I would have one and would focus on the timeline, and being able to change that. That's one interesting idea I have in mind... but I understand many people thought that [Echoes] was too difficult."
