Mmm-hmm, the specs on the 3DS/2DS at best, on-par with budget/low-end Smartphones & Tablets. Even the wack-ass $100 Ouya has better specs than the 3DS.

This might look like a backwards idea, but I actually think Nintendo might've struck gold here. To a lot of parents $40-50 bucks is a big difference so having a cheaper alternative out by holiday season is smarter than you think. Besides, parents don't look at design and shyt like that, they just look if it's what their kid wants and if it's not too expensive. You guys really think the parents buying this for Christmas are gonna stand in the store and be like:
"Wait, you can't fold it! And they took away the 3D feature. I ain't buying that for my son, he deserves the full, more expensive product."
