Why would u choose the colorful version of the N64 to make ur point. The original color of the GameCube was purple. Lol but yea GameCube had some gems on it. RE Remake. RE4. And one of the GOAT underrated horror games Eternal Darkness. Not to mention the original MGS remake Twin Snakes. Which is bugged out that they didn't do an HD version of that yet.oh you got put off by the purple lunchbox design and missed out on great games
I quote slim thug
"blowin on the endo Gamecube Nintendo
5 percent tint so you can't see up in the Window"
there were plenty of Adult games on that system
be insecure about a consoles appearance brehs
I don't see how the n64 was less kiddy both consoles had weird shaped controllers with coloured buttons.
The gamecube also had a black option and there were N64s that looked like this

tell me which looks more "kiddy"
Thing is, thats not what nintendo is marketing the system as. They have specifically said its a HOME CONSOLE first, so this is indeed money grabbing bullshytThen put them on the Switch and charge them. I don't see the problem here. It's a portable with removable controllers. If you want to play and charge use the Switch in portable mode and plug it up.
GameCube launched in both Purple and Black. I know cause I still have my black GameCube from launch week. Loved the GameCube design. Used to take that thing to my friend's houses all the time. Much rather have something like that, that has some sort of portability to it then something like the OG system designs from this gen. The original Xbox One is the worst looking and most cumbersome console since like the Atari 2600Why would u choose the colorful version of the N64 to make ur point. Dont ps4 controllers only last 4 hrs? Not seeing the problem here to be honest...dont have to buy it![]()
Out of the box its 4-5 hrs, you can edit the settings to make it last longer tho
My dualshock 4 can last days of moderate gaming and constant use.
but there was a default black option at launch just like how there were colourful versions of the N64 so these people complaining they couldn't buy it because it was kiddier than the n64 have no logical argument. Even if it was grey the controllers and system were bizarrely shaped compared to the Saturn and PS1 and also had coloured buttons. Why would u choose the colorful version of the N64 to make ur point. Both them shyts was more kiddie than their counterparts so I don't get the argument either. Im just sayin. If u gonna post pictures post the default colors.but there was a default black option at launch just like how there were colourful versions of the N64 so these people complaining they couldn't buy it because it was kiddier than the n64 have no logical argument. Like I said before. N64 default was Black. GameCube default was purple. Black was the alternate color. I was just saying to be fair with the pics. That N64 pic wasn't not a launch console. Even if u kept the GameCube pic it would've atleast been fair to post the black N64.GameCube launched in both Purple and Black. I know cause I still have my black GameCube from launch week. You really think those 4 games are all Nintendo is putting out this year? They'll have more at E3 for sure. The overpriced accessories, paid online, expensive base console.....none of that means shyt if the platform has alot of quality games. It seems like the for the first year the big games we're getting is: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It's not enough. Where's Pokemon? Fire Emblem? Super Smash Bros? Metroid? 3DS 3rd party franchises like Monster Hunter, Yo-Kai, Bravely Default? The fukk man.

The Joy-Con grip bundled with Nintendo Switch does not charge your Joy-Con controllers.
![]()
This was a detail left unclear after Nintendo's 4am Switch event last Friday, but which has now been clarified by shop listings for a separate, chargeable Joy-Con grip peripheral- priced £27.99.
The basic Joy-Con grip included with the console is simply a plastic shell. It exists just to hold your Joy-Con but not charge them.
The premium Joy-Con charging grip, available separately, includes a USB connection so you can plug in and power the device while playing, and in turn charge attached Joy-Con.
Without the chargeable grip, you can charge Joy-Con while they are attached to the Nintendo Switch itself. But this option isn't available if you are using the Joy-Con and your Switch is docked to the TV.
The premium charging grip is also made of sexier translucent black plastic, as opposed to the dull matte version bundled in the console box.

Nintendo's official site lists the Joy-Con's battery life as "about 20 hours", although notes this may become shorter with use over time. The two Joy-Con take 3.5 hours to charge - whether attached to the Switch itself or the premium Joy-Con charging grip accessory.
