I've never understood why they don't do this. Half the game on each system.
Handheld half could be like the regular pokemon games. Collect and upgrade and shyt.
Console half could be like a real-time pokemon stadium smash bros type of game.

PC gaming will always keep console pricing in check. For $1200 you can get top of line PC.. Not only that, PS3 already tested the market at $600 and xbox1 tested it at $500. Neither were well received.. I doubt you see pricing that high on consoles again in the near future. Let alone $1200

You gotta take the train to work, play it on the handheld shyt like that where you could play it wherever, that would be the ultimate pokemon game. Maybe they could even have it where you could play a two player pokemon campaign or whatever. One player on the console and one on the handheld.

I think this is what we see with NX. I'm guessing they upgrade the tablet and give it a smaller form factor similar to the DSI XL with the option to save games onto it. This will let you play games on the go from the NX or you can plug it up and play on a TV screen, which helps tie the software together. This helps streamline their software and sticks to their strength of handheld while still upgrading the console this means that Nintendo will be making handheld their priority and console secondary
