Thats why I said Nintendo is full of shyt.

The games never made Mario out to be a simp. At least the early games always hinted there was a romantic connection between Mario and Peach, they just never made it explicit as its a game for little kids so having Hearts appear over Peach’s head like mistletoe and her always kiss Mario after the final boss defeat was as far as they could go but you got the gist.
