A lot of y'all said you have no problem paying $100 for GTA 6....and Nintendo ears perked up and decided to go a.couple notches down to $80 as a happy medium.

Now with the tariffs these price hikes are probably here to stay for most major releases.

Aint got shyt to do with them damn tariffs. If that was the case they wouldn't have put the freeze on preorders. They didn't know anything about those tariffs until just now. Nah man, Nintendo factored in tariffs, they just didn't know Trump was going to levy 45% tariffs on products from Vietnam (where the Switch 2 is manufactured). They thought It was going to be 5-10%, like everyone else.

My guy. Do u know the difference in the price of programming a game back then versus now? nikkas is paying actors and actresses. Doing motion capture n all kinda shyt. And physical games are still selling. Digital should cost less but the point still stands. If u factor in inflation and the price difference it cost to make a single game now. Pricing is actually pretty good. Compared to the past.

Right. Some of these game budgets are hitting $250 million, and the cost of manufacturing the physical copies is like..a couple million lol. Coli posters just hate doing research

So they factored in 5-10% tariffs and made their games $80 when literally no one else is doing it. and if someone does do it, yall are gonna point to the tariffs instead of Nintendo.

So if your logic follows.. sometime between now and June.. Nintendo should pop out with an 30-35% increase on the already high $80 games, OR an increase in the already high $499.. in order to shield themselves from America.
