I chose to not get it due to the lack of voice chat and the fact they havent really rolled out a lot of the free DLC yet. I'll probably scoop this up sometime later this year.

But hopefully this is a sign that Nintendo is going to start making some new IPs that they actually have a push or marketing budget behind. Lord knows they need it right now.

Ehm, they've already rolled out a bunch of free DLC (more like 'updates' but whatever). And the keyword there is "free" because you know every other company would've locked them shyts behind a pay wall.

I want as much content as possible when I pick up a game.
By the time most publishers roll out the DLC I've beat the game and moved on in most cases. I have no issue with the way Nintendo does DLC, they're actually one of the best, but I do not want to play the waiting game.

I understand the decision. When I play CoD I immediately mute everyone (my teammates and opponents). Do you really want to hear some 13 year old kid calling you a 'n!gger' every 5 seconds? Anyway, Wii U games are typically meant for local multiplayer (splitscreen) anyway.
lol I'm the same way unless I'm playing with close friends, every multi shooter I mute everybody, majority of gamers are corny as fukk.

both young and old:scust: Im just trying to have fun out here.. not hear you try your hand at comedy or hear your garbage taste in music or hear you getting angry because you're garbage at the game:mjlol: or hear your fat ass breathing hard into the mic:francis:

The biggest reason Nintendo decided not to incorporate voice chat is because of profanity since they want the game to be child friendly. And considering how intense the matches can get and the amount of "Motherfukkers!" I've yelled at my gamepad, it's safe to say it was the smart decision even if it appears to be 'backwards'.

The game is chock full of content. Heck, the content rollout started days after launch. Since then several maps and weapons came out. I haven't played in a while due to being busy but I'm sure there's lots of weapons and maps I haven't seen yet. I'd like if Nintendo remastered this game for the NX with 1080P/60fps with much needed Anti aliasing.

This is what I'm waiting for.
