Yeah...very seriously doubt Nip has made money than any of those dudes, save maybe Pusha...his club spots aren't comparable to what those guys have been doing...this year alone 2Chainz for example has went on a 40date-plus large out door venue tour, sold bout 400K or so albums (BOATS 1 was selling well into 2nd quarter of this year, plus the 200K BOATS2 has done so far), released a platinum single in I'm Different, and has been all kinds of feature placements and big-money pop features (where he prolly made more than Nipsey money alone)...on top of the publishing money from being on a bunch of radio hits this year (fukking Problems, Drake's All Me just hit #1 on urban this week...those are redisuals)...this is where the indie-fetish stuff goes too far

push mighta flopped but he makin money. he surprised me doin 80k the firrst week. pusha t been to wales belguim europe paris and miami last night all that last month from touring. i seriously doubt nip made more money then push. push sell shirtts also

MGK opening up for fukking Tech N9ne doing 15 minutes sets in a 500person capacity restuarants turned nightclubs in towns like Boise, Idaho and Flathead, Montana =/= 2Chainz doing 40plus shows on the AMW tour in front of upwards of 10K people a night...2chainz was doing serious business the majority of this year cashing in on the success of his first album, Nip put out a mixtape like 2 months ago and spot tour dates on the west coast...short of looking at these dudes books, we're gonna just have to agree to disagree with this one

Yeah, like J Kwon, Chingy, Murphy Lee, Smilez and SOuthstar, The chicken noodle soup chick, and the other thousands of "stars" who get signed to major labels.

Well since Nipsey has so much talent, he should have no problem staying afloat like Jay Z, Cole, Drake, Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Rita Ora, Wiz, Wale, Kanye, Rick Ross, Frank Ocean. Miguel, etc and won't fall off like these other one hit wonders/weed carriers.

What is be trying to convey through his music?
Who is his audience?
How is this dude any different from the other 100 dudes rapping about the same exact shyt?
Does his style enjoy any sort of longevity, can he make classic introspective tracks?
Will a major label be in a better postition having this nikka as opposed to NOT having him?
Does he have his own unique steez?
If he rapped on a track with 10 other dudes, will he stick out if you never heard any of his music before?
Is he marketable?
Can he push records when all is said and done?

This guy can rap but so can a lot of other dudes out there. What does he bring to the table in terms of a individual artist? I just hope he focuses on himself and marketing his business hustle.

I wish him the best and I thought he was dope when I first heard him on that Chun Li freestyle. I think he can do big thinks if he gets a good marketing team. A good team turned A$AP Rocky from a mediocre dude with a ponytail doing videos with Ferg to a superstar so hopefully he can get the same for him. This dude sounds like he has the talent, he just needs a TEAM.

Not at all...dude has the same qualities as any other "star" and anytime I bump his shyt around Atlanta nikkas want to know who he is. He always been a good artist, it was just at one point his production was hit or miss but mostly average. Go back and listen to TMC 1 & 2. It had some shyt on there but it was alot of generic sounds throughout that mixtape series. With this last project it sounded wayyyy better on the production tip...something it seems like he learned from Dom (imo).
