As Nipsey Hussle continues his press run in support of Victory Lap, he culminated his NYC run with a stop at Viceland's Desus & Mero. The 32-year-old touched on numerous topics throughout the gem-filled 12-minute conversation, including his respect for Kendrick Lamar, who assisted on "Dedication," love for TDE and meeting The Game as an aspiring rapper.

"You know what's crazy, me, Jay Rock, Kendrick, Ali and Top Dawg was all on tour with The Game for The LAX Tour. We did 52 cities in like 55 days and we was all opening for free. To see where it's gone from there to where we're at right now, I'm proud of everybody," says Nip.

"We all was in it to get to this level and continue to grow in this game. To see what [Kendrick's] doing and the whole TDE and what we're doing," the Crenshaw artist continued to reflect. "We all paid a lot of dues and put in blood, sweat, and tears."

Nipsey continued to be highly complimentary of The Game, crediting him as "the one" to carry the West coast after the fall of the Death Row empire. The Vector90 business partner even recalled meeting The Documentary artist as an aspiring rapper handing out mixtapes.

"I actually met The Game in my hood on Crenshaw and Slauson. I was outside on the block with 20 of my homies. I see the Range Rover and we all walked up to his car. I handed him my CD. On my daughter, he had a glock on his lap," the California native reminisced.

"I'm like 'I'm from the 60's this is my music check me out.' [Game] was like, 'I'm gonna do that, bro.' Game's always been open arms with me," he admitted.

Truth be told i used to be a big Game fan and it was through him i was introduced to Nip & Kendrick & Jay Rock.

I had seen Jay Rock & Nipsey on Myspace (lol!) before & heard the songs they had on the playlist. Im talking 2005-2006 ish (with TDE & 2008 with Nip). But when they hooked up with Game
i started diggin in the crates more.

But truth be told this aint really how they hooked up.

Game had people who now works with TDE and/or are from Nickerson Garden projects working for him before. 2 Teez is one. Watch Games "The Documentary" dvd that came with the 1st album. When he rolls through Nickerson Gardens you can hear Game sayin "2 Teez is my nikka..". He used to do security for Game and i would say hes a reputable cat from out there.

And with Nip its through Big U.
