He’s telling the truth. Looking back me and my peers all moved early out just to say we had our own, and for what? I didn’t gain anything from it and lived paycheck to paycheck, money wasted. With the cost of living now it’s really a bad idea to do it.

There’s always expectations of course but for the most part I agree. Stay with your parents and stack up, help around the house if need be.

He's right, i noticed in other countries, moving out at 18 isn't even a thing.
Making too many expenses your responsibility before you can afford them forces you to make early concessions that can have long term implications.
You lived on you own so instead of getting a ride, maybe you apply for that car loan. You have to work to support college so maybe it takes longer to graduate and you miss out on two more years of high level income, etc. Now you30 with 60k worth of debt. versus being debt free.

That was no typo: The median net worth of black Bostonians really is $8/QUOTE]

The $8 detail in the Globe’s Spotlight series on race in Boston is not a typo.

The median net worth for non-immigrant African-American households in the Greater Boston region is $8, according to “The Color of Wealth in Boston,” a 2015 report by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Duke University, and the New School.

Yeah, Nip, if they didn't move out so early...
