You really can't compare them and IDK why people do. Like Big Caz said no matter how dope 2Pac was and he is in my Top 5 along with Nip, Nip is actually born and raised in South Central LA. He grew up in RSC. Pac was a Cali transplant and didn't even move to LA first, he was in the Bay then moved to SoCal and got involved with something he shouldn't have. Their music was different too.

Nip lived 8 years longer so he was able to do more work in the community/mature and actually do what Pac probably wanted to do but again, they were different cats.

Pac was more of a creative. He was a poet, actor, social activist cat who grew up around the Black Panthers.

Nip was more business minded, a natural hustler who understood ownership and realized the importance of entrepreneurship early on in his career.

Nip was what Snoop Dogg wanted to be in terms of being a real Crip everyone respected on that street level. Unfortunately, that type of rep can bring you a world of trouble you can't always avoid.

I just didn't feel like he rapped to his typical level on VL, and I've always felt like that from day one.

that was my biggest problem with Nip, lol

I always thought everything about his music was fire besides his beats...they were either low quality or just not mixed.


Victory Lap is such a giant leap in production, it's crazy
