IIRC it was because the weatherman had hands. And Nipsey didn't want to take the risk of getting whopped even in a charity boxing match so he graciously fell back.

Yea, Nipsey kind of made himself look a little foolish on that one. But we all have temporary lapses in judgement in life. Seeing the type of person Nipsey was, I'm pretty sure he was aware of it, and made ammends
