i never understood why discussing record sales is such a sore spot for hip hop fans.... i could rewrite your statement like this but wouldn't get many people to agree with the sentiment....

Some motherfukkers on here really be interested in that shyt too cause it's always threads on who fukked who.
Why the fukk would somebody give a damn about who an artist is fukking and shyt if they not getting p*ssy from her themselves?

What do I gain from knowing who an mc fukked? Why should I (the fan) care about that shyt?
I just wanna hear good/great music. How an artist is fukking is irrelevant to me.

every single aspect of an artist's life is discussed here and scrutinized... as soon as album sales are brought up there is tension... why can't discuss album sales... .why is that so evil?

I'm a fan and consumer. I ain't getting no money from knowing that shyt. I don't see what u gain from knowing what another nikka make, as a fan.
I just asked cause I didn't get what nikkas who just fans was getting outta knowing how much a nikka done sold. That's all.

I still listened to the radio every now and then up until the radio in my car broke, so now I don't. So now it's been a while since I have.
As for current music, I will say I'm completely outta the loop.
I be seeing names of rappers on here and it be motherfukkers I ain't never heard of.

For 99% or artist, I couldn't care less....I only care about the music. In some situations I care because I want the artist to "win". Like when Krit was with Def Jam I wanted him to sell well because I wanted his career to grow (even though he better off now IMO). Another example is Big Boi with his 3 solo releases...I wanted them to sell well because I thought they were incredible and I wanted people to hear them.

i got your point, but that can be said about an artist's selection of girls, fashion, business moves, tax problems, legal cases, etc, etc, etc... all of that is discussed here ad naseum with no issue about the subject being brought up... as soon as record sales are brought up, out comes the people wondering what that has to do with anything... half the shyt discussed on here has nothing to do with music... i was just looking at a thread about how dave east dresses... what does that have to do with music... no one brought up your argument in that thread though... do you see where i'm coming from...? record sales are just another aspect of an artist to discuss along with all the other aspects including the music....

I’m just not interested in making playlists cause you’ll end up listening to the same shyt over and over...I don’t mind the radio cause I hate uncensored music that shyt just vulgar for no reason...christ Brown’s song back to sleep song for example...radio version: sex you back to sleep girl ...uncensored version: fukk you back to sleep girl ...why? Can I even listen to that shyt around my 13 year old niece? The song was great without the profanity...
