A lot of people outside of Cali didn’t fukk with Nipsey like that. When his debut album dropped he started to get a little buzz but he wasn’t fully appreciated until after he died.

I’ll play… Kevin Samuels by a long shot. No diss to Nip but at the end of the day he was a Rollin 60 Crip that made music glorifying that lifestyle. He made some t-shirts and bought a location in LA that became prime real estate due to gentrification.

nipsey was a legend for the diaspora. the eritrean community centers in atlanta area were packed out for services for him and it probably had very little to do with music
