I been rocking with Nip since 08 he kinda went Hollywood to me but that's only cause I was a fan when he was spitting dope game raps and talking about Slauson a lot..now it's just my benzo, my money, my investments, I'm crip lol he still hard still on my list I just felt let down but that's personal opinion...I'm glad more people took notice after the first Marathon tape in 2010 cause he dumbed down his flow and that's why y'all now know him..listen to the first 2 bullets ain't got no names mixtapes tell me he didn't dumb his raps down...before only way you could understand what nip was talking about is if you was from LA cause of the lingo used..he dumbed it down to get national

Whenever i talk hip hop with younger homies i always mention how my fav rapper out is nipsey and 9/10 i get a Who?
It sucks and its sad and it certainly isnt a reflection of the quality of his music.
It ultimately comes down to the fact that:
A-he doesnt have a breakout hit
B-he has a dumb name and looks like Snoop so alot of cats and media types kinda write him off on some "nothing to see here" tip
Which is sad because he certainly deserves all the success in the world
Luckily hes built a strong fan base..its not particularrly large but its loyal
The only question is how long can he rely on them
