:heh: I've been imagining what a stable would look like with Naito as leader and Shibata as enforcer.

:francis: nevermind

This g1 to me lacked something . Idk maybe it's due to lack of swagzuki . And I love bc but we don't need all those members in the g1 . I'm looking at you yujiro and either fale/gallows. I don't need some of those legends in the tournament either . I know they pay spoiler roles and give points to the winner but :yeshrug:

Elgin/Ishii was stoopidly entertaining to me. Even though I haven't been keeping up with New Japan until recently, I know enough to know Ishii is a legit monster compared to the rest of the roster. It was interesting to see him as the underdog here, with Elgin chewing on him for almost the entire match.

Also interesting was seeing just how far Elgin would go to try and keep Ishii down. When he powerbombed him into the guardrail on some Mike Awesome shyt, I cringed incredibly hard.

Lotta great reversals from two big men, lotta very believable near falls that left me with the :gladbron:

That brainbuster sounded like a bomb going off when he landed it. I've never heard somebody hit the mat and it sound that hard. :russ:

I'm calling at least 4.5/5 stars.

Just finished today's show. Elgin/Ishii and Nakamura/Okada were both amazing matches. I would love to see Elgin full time there, he's really stepped it up. Maybe he belongs here instead of in the States. I've only seen him wrestle very sloppy spot matches in ROH and PWG, so maybe those matches weren't his fault :ehh:

The ending sequence to Nakamura/Okada was incredible :wow:

Anybody know the full card to tomorrow's show besides the matches that were announced?

This dude says Elgin will be wrestling Yoshi Hashi tomorrow, that'll be interesting :ehh:

I would've preferred Yoshi Hashi or Tonga to be in the G1 over fukkin Gallows, Fale or Yujiro. Hell, gimme CNJ over any of those three :russ:

This just hit me like :ohhh: regarding the finals.
Everyone is expecting this to lead to Okada/Tanahashi at WK but forget that Nakamura had to avenge his loss against Okada from last year's G1. Could see Nakamura and Okada at WK with Chaos potentially imploding.

Night 18

Honma/Yujiro. Bullshyt. Complete bullshyt. This is the only time they made me mad in the whole tournament. Mao-chan, tho :wow:

Elgin/Ishii was an absolute war from beginning to end. Fantastic match. When Elgin powerbombed him outside I thought Ishii was fukked up for good. It wouldn't surprise me if Elgin was offered a full time contract.

Anderson/Kojima and Goto/Nagata were OK.

Nakamura/Okada was incredible. One of the best matches of the tournament, along with Tanahashi/AJ and AJ/Ibushi. That final sequence was beautiful. That DDT at ringside :damn: Okada stealing moves :wow:

It seems like Nakamura and Tanahashi have battled a hundred times, but according to cagematch, this will be "only" their 17th time in singles competition, and the first time this year
