I havent watched namdi so I really don't know how he's looked this season TBH. But if the 9ers cut him that can't be a good sign

I dont agree with that line of thinking. Niners think they are stacked plus nnamdi sucks in zone, which we play a lot
they cut Marcus Cooper who is #1 corner for chiefs right now, balling his ass off, too
I can see nnamdi playing decent for a team that is man D oriented without much emphasis on tackling

While the Skins do play their fair amount of man...I can't take another non-tackling defensive player. Killed us early this season, the defense has since improved overall in that aspect. I'd break my tv if I saw another missed tackle

Philly and San Fran was using him wrong anyways. He was a press man corner in Oakland, he got to Philly and they started moving him around and playing zone, not sure if SF did the same but it sounds like it.

fangio tried to get him into man and press, to be fair. but the nature of our D is its just more zone than man. I thought he wasnt a good fit, but fact is I dont think he sucked for us in coverage or anything.
he was really bad missing tackles tho. I think fundamentals are a big part of what our defense is asked to do, we're a bend but not break D. so those missed tackles going for first downs had to piss vic off
like Ive said, I can see him playing ok as a cover corner somewhere else. we might end up regretting cutting him too, as the corners who will be replacing him are gamblers who can be exposed by smart qbs. hopefully Im wrong.
