All of his eras were dope because he was his art. Every song had pieces of his real life inserted into the topics and thats what made him a legend. That and his songs just had so much substance and were saturated with emotional honesty.

That OG Words 2 My Firstborn is a masterpiece

With the catalog, planned tracklists and concepts he left they could've made his legacy so much bigger than it was. As it stands the estate butchered classics with wack beats, cheap sing song hooks and badly placed features. That said the way the bootlegs dropped really added to the whole mystique and amped the legend as it did seem like he was still stalking these killing fields back when.

Even to this day new stuff drops, like this:

Heard the solo OG version before but this one (like Malibu Stacy) has new beat breaks!

Not sure how anyone could debate this not being the greatest song Pac ever released. Dave Hollister on the hook, and a sample of Zapp’s “Be Alright” released in 1980, a timeless track itself.

This is the best verse I’ve ever heard from Stretch, I think the singing in the background fits perfectly, then of course you’ve got the classic third verse from Pac. This song has a sample from Earl Klugh’s “Living Inside Your Love” released in 1976. You hear the sample :13 second in and again around 2:36, 3:34, 4:36-end of song.

Honorable Mentions:

When he says “wanted for investigations” threw me off and could mean pretty much anything. I know it’s petty but that shyt just sounds dumb to me for some reason. Incredible song tho. Sample from J-Flexx “Free Em All’ off the Gang Related soundtrack released a month apart in 97’.

This last one only has one Pac verse but is classic. Another flawless verse from Stretch, this has one of my favorite Pac opening lines, and Mopreme closes it out with vivid story telling over that haunting instrumental featuring a sample from Michael White’s “Reiko” that came out in 1974.

was Tenkamemin Tha Realest? it sure sounds like him on "Free Em All"

Pac has a song for every mood/emotion.

Thats why he is what he is because all of them feel authentic.
Crazy you say that because this dude in high school said the same thing and it made me think for a second and say damn he is right... Pac has a song for everybody and almost every situation. Dudes emotion when he would spit you could just feel he was authentic in what he was saying.
