That’s what I did: I moved out of London.

Our £400k house got us a 3 bedroom, massive garden and driveway.

But in London, a house for that price will be in a crud area, small and generally not worth bending over backwards to stay in London.

The problem is that England’s hub is London. From fashion, restaurants, trains, culture, jobs, etc. our rail system is solid but expensive. So the trade is live in London, have a x100 times better social life and work in London but either pay over the odds on rent or mortgage.
