No amount of budgeting and not eating out is going to make up for the fact that we don't make enough money.

These new nikkas weak, "Go get 2 jobs", if this was the US before 50s or anywhere else on earth, they would of dragged politicians to the street and starting beating. but we are used to putting heads down and accepting things for how they are. When are you going to say, "i'm going to end up on street regardless cause wages are staying stagnant, might as well as fight". Soon it will be 3, then it will be 4 jobs, then what you finna do?
Real fukking talk.

The 1% of today pretty much has " Let them eat cake" plastered on billboards and people still lining up to lick boot. Its disgusting. They really have mf trained.

The Trump administration showed me that nothing will change either. The most blatant self serving president and people were eating that shyt up.

"Drain the swamp" but the nikka's cabinet was full of career politicians and nepotisim selections amongst his friends and family.

A border wall that was supposed to be funded by Mexico (:mjlol: ) that never got built.

Countless lies and broken promises.

Literally the only thing this man managed to accomplish was lowering taxes for his rich buddies while his low/middle class stans foot the bill.

All that, and these cacs will still line up around the block to kiss his ass. For fun, google "Trump blue collar" and be astounded by projections of broke cacs for a silver spoon trust fund baby in every sense of the word. Its fukking incredible how well they got mfs trained

I don't think it has as much to do with lifestyle spending as much as people think. My mom used to get paid 11 an hour and provided for the house, paid the bills, and still bought scratch off tickets. Bills included gas, water, lights, phone, rent, and groceries. The fact that people are unable to get paid 15 an hour and pay their bills, and still enjoy their life comfortably (not just sitting at home kuz they broke) is disappointing.

While decisions early on play a part in that, nobody should be punished for something like not going to college because they didn't know what they wanted to go for. Jobs are hiring off favoritism and the ones that don't usually aren't worth the effort you need to put in without eventually getting fired. Sure anybody could start their own shyt, but if everyone did that, the payout pool becomes smaller and smaller.

If you work 40+ hrs a week, you shouldn't have to short yourself on what should be inexpensive luxuries because your employer is too cheap to offer more money

I don't be wanting to get :mjpls: on this topic but I see far too many of us be just trying to stunt for whatever reason. Trust me, I know, it's good to shine, to look good, etc. However, if you ain't got it, you ain't got it. I always have to catch myself because I am fortunate with the means but that's why I always say that I want to use my skills of financial literacy for the good of us. It's a mindset thing that needs to change for the good habits to settle in. However, I do honestly wonder if I am the right messenger because I have the means that most people don't have access to. Catch 22 brehs.

As of now there’s really no substantial difference in price between eating out and buying groceries.

Both are at unlivable costs
People that say stuff like this, or that cooking and buying healthy foods is more expensive than junk etc clearly haven’t actually planned and executed a real meal plan and grocery budget. Buying and cooking your own food is not remotely the same cost as eating out

Nah they would still rather moan and complain about others while they're getting passed up. It's not even about pulling bootstraps up it's the choices. You choose what kind of lifestyle you want and make it happen. It you're making 45k but want a 90k lifestyle do what it takes to make it happen. All it takes is a bit of discipline but people run from the grind while also complaining about where they are in life. It makes no sense.
I’m saying people underestimate how hard I work and continue to work to be financially set. I’m always looking for ways to increase my income and get better at managing my money. Even now that I’m in a “decent” spot.

The funny thing is, the most successful people I know I have multiple ways of getting money. They don’t just work their 9 to 5 and that’s it. The successful people. I know have like 4 -7 streams of income.

A lot of the time its staring people right in their face.

Look at nick cannon.

This nikka does a radio show from 5-10am then has a day time gig, then does wildin out.

How many cats are working as hard as that dude. But I’m sure many people aspire to be paid like him.

Some of these c00ns need to be chainsaw'd and hacked due to their bootstraps beliefs. Its utterly disgusting that so called black people defend this BS.
What are people doing to get ahead.

The point isn’t to work work work without a plan.

The goal is to work to save.

Money buys you time. First you sacrifice time to get ahead in finances. Then you find a skill or job that pays you more. Then you continue to grow your money exponentially.

The reality is, when you do nothing. Nothing changes. You stay in the same situation. I damn sure wasn’t content making 40k, so I did something about it.

The government isnt going bail you out.

Meanwhile there’s people getting it. Making great money and living life.

You shouldn't have to put yourself in debt or work yourself into an early grave just to afford a lower middle class lifestyle.

Simply raising wages won't work because our capitalist society will just raise the cost of everything to get that money back. California raised minimum wage to $15 and the cost of living is worse than it was before they raised it.

Facts. Its wild how nikkas will say shyt like that because they so hungry to clown someone else.... People are doing bad out there even if we aren't. If you so desperate to look down on someone that you shytting on people struggling so bad that they cant afford to eat out, own a home or a vehicle; then you need to look in the mirror and do something about your self esteem.

Telling a mf to work 2/3 shytty jobs just to be able to eat some fast food here and there and afford rent on some micro apartment in NYC because the system is assfukking the middle and lower class makes you a fukking clown. And you really don't look as wavy as you think you do.

Same coli posters calling nikkas lazy talmbout 'hold your own nuts' ain't never been seen not once on the 6F6Certs side of this forum chopping it up with us about equities and bonds. Just makes me think yall just putting on a show :unimpressed:

I actually recognize a lot of "bootstrappers" from both those places in this thread as well. :sas2:

I know, right? Matter fact that might be cap on the rent kuz we still stayed in the family house then. Even when we moved, she was maybe getting paid 12/13 and still took care of all of that with $700 rent and that was 08-17 or whenever hurricane Harvey happened. At some point we got rid of cable Kuz the bill eventually crept up to 350/month but to my knowledge she was the only one putting the bread up.

I just did the math and she was prolly only left with maybe 200 or less "extra" money per month. Kinda goes against my argument but with 200? Gas for the month was prolly 75-100. You couldn't even go get your car fixed with what you're left with, and that's what gets you to the money in the first place. I don't know how she did it and stayed completely sane. Prices then were nowhere near where they are now tho.

Luckily, everything that happened for me leading up to and after moving out presented me with no financial issues. Car was already paid off and my girl was getting paid the same thing i was.

Here's the problem.. Beyond the obvious inflation and systemic problems... We simply have MORE bills and entertainment than our parents.

I don't remember my mom going out to eat daily. I don't remember her eating lunch out at a nice restaurant daily. Picking up a coffee and snack. She definitely didn't have a cell phone bill. She wasn't out at the bar. She wasn't on vacation. She wasn't bringing home some weed and drink every night. We didn't have cable and we definitely didn't have a netflix either back then. You'd be lucky to get to blockbuster once a month. She was cooking at home. We had mcdonald's at home. Dad definitely wasn't coming by to drop off happy meals when I called and said I was hungry. We didn't see 10-15 movies a year. We wasn't even steak and having crab boils. I was lucky to get a tape. Or save up for some mixtapes. I didn't have a $10 allowance just for my music, another for my storage space, another for gaming, another for........

Yes I have ALL of these things now and do all of the same shyt. Yes I do believe I should be able to enjoy life without living with pure basics... But it doesn't escape me that if I cut all that shyt out, sat my black ass at home with slow internet and a book, and cooked all my meals at home, while staying sober... That I would EASILY have $400 extra dollars a month to put into a savings account.

EASILY
