Those drums on "Through The Wire" are sampled from Outkast's "Player's Ball" reprise version. I didn't know thatbuntil a few years ago.
Yeah Kanye stole drums left, right and centre. He admitted as much in Scratch mag back in the day.

That being said, the crunch, compressed drum in that song (through the wire) was clearly an attempt at emulating the jay dee clap. Didn't really work that well, still a great song though.

That's that Rugrats theme music vibe producers ran with for a minute. TBH I'm indifferent about it.

I hated this song so much. Instant channel changer on Rap City.

The “Bling Bling” beat should not be in this thread, but YIKES at Fabolous “Ma Be Easy”, that STINKS :mjlol: :mjlol: Sounds like a multiple bags of skittles being dropped on the floor.

Mannie Fresh was a genius with the video game keyboard beats. His drum patterns was next level, disrespectful to put him in the conversation with the Fab type production.

I mentioned 8 Mile earlier because I was forced to listen to a way too much of that generic Shady Aftermath G-Unit shyt in that era :mjlol:

Somehow Em managed to get that style beat placed on God's Son and The Black Album. Sound like made these joints in 5 minutes a piece, back to back, before him, Luis Resto and Mr. Porter turned their attention to perfecting the generic G-Unit sound :scust:
