One of the greatest delusions of our generation has been convincing worker bees that they can be entrepreneurs. Majority of humans are worker bees and will die worker bees.

I understand that mentality. But thats not natural. Thats a byproduct of industrialization and modernization.
People know that something is intrinsically wrong with working for someone else's benefit and passing that principle down to your seeds...

And besides..thats wild calvanist isnt it?
To believe in the righteousness of slavery and the right of the 1% to live in paradise while the world suffers for their benefit?.
I disagree...

Cac is missing the bigger picture. (American debt slavery)

#1 Don't get into debt.
#2 Nothing wrong with grinding at a job...learn the system, master the art and stack your money then branch out.

#3 Find a business where people look like you and support you. It's a temporary phase to get you where you can walk on your own and give jobs to others.

The greater delusion is the belief that there is a difference.
"Worker bee's" at least clock out and go home and decompress at 5pm everyday, i got co-workers that are out the door a 4:59 everyday.
Meanwhile every entreprenuer i know works 60 hours a week, the ones that make actually money at least. The ones the "make their own schedule" are usually broke and have to work part time to supplement their business. We're all worker bee's whether we own the business or not. Just a matter of whether or not you answer to an single employer that tells you what to do or answer to a bunch of entitled paying clients that tell you what to do.

Some people just wanna work, get the money situation handled, and move on with their day.

A business there’s really no off time. That shyt follows you all day. Not saying it isn’t worth it but it’s not as easy as people make it out to be
I don’t even think Bukowski intended entrepreneurship to be the immediate alternative that came to mind when reading this. Remember, he was a writer, a poet who never achieved much commercial acclaim. He probably thought of the billions who never sought - for lack of time or a belief in its purpose - to enrich their lives, and the world around them, by taking up a creative discipline.

Funny because many people are also realizing now that they don't need to work 8 hours 5 days a week to complete their tasks assigned by their job. 4 day work weeks with 4-6 hour days of focused work should be the norm for some positions.

Anyone can be an entrepreneur. I was a worker bee for a decade before I started my own successful business. You just need to start the right business and work harder than you do for your 9-5.
