I wouldn't be mad if quartermane filled in for Ciph more often. His enthusiasm helped put the interview over the top.

I - and i believe most - felt the same way. Ciph is my dude but he seem to be tired of hip-hop and/or alot of stuff in that building. I don't know, obviously. I know part of it is his shtick, but it doesn't come across that well alot of the times IMO. Just seems like he doesn't care & goes off and does other things most of the time. Lately he's been into the comedy thing alot - which is good, love comedy - but it takes away from the podcast too.

cipha sounds, entire spirit is broken.
i can't actually blame him considering the level of bullshyt he has alluded.

i actually believe cipha is one of the best unknown discovery based talent scouts in the entire industry.
it is a shame he is not a bigger entitty.
yet, people who are real about the culture.
usually, end up with the low end of the stick.

This 100%. Ciph is definitely looking for a second wind, and he feels like comedy/improv is that for him.
Understandable, back in his day you could break artists. Now THEY GIVE YOU A SHEET OF PAPER WITH A LIST OF SONGS TO PLAY.
HIP HOP IS MORE THAN MUSIC...ITS A LIFESTYLE.
RADIO IS JUST MAD DISRESPECTFUL

Boy, that's a gem right there. I hear you, especially the bold part. Same thing in life, just in general.

I see Rosenberg has been listening to Combat Jack. Him putting the music in and not just holding a mic to a shytty computer speaker, him actually asking real questions and not rambling on about how J Dilla and Tribe affected his life so much. In fact, he might have been listening to hip hop for a long time but you can tell that the late 90s/early 2000s was when he really got into it for real. The college experience and all that, it sounds like that era was when he came into his own as a hip hop head.

:blessed: It would be a change I would welcome. If Ciph was on this episode he prob wouldn't have contributed anything and they would have spent too much time asking if he knew this song and that song. He wouldn't know shyt about Com and NoID just like everyone else not named Lil Kim or Rawkus artists circa 1999

Ciph is only excited when they have comedians on. Or old school artist he's familar with.

Interview was dope. Props.

Cipha Sounds was definitely not missed. This Quartermaine cat should be a regular host.
