I believe in God and I identify as a Christian, but I believe the focus on evangelism and indoctrination has ultimately harmed the world and the church.

I have found a deeper, more meaningful spiritual walk by letting people live their lives, and just make myself available if they ask for guidance. I have zero interest in controlling people or telling someone else how to live their lives. This has [thankfully] allowed me to let go of many prejudices and pre-conceived notions about people and cultures.

I try to focus more on being Christ-like in my everyday actions rather than seeing everyone who drinks, smokes, and has sex in a way I don't personally approve of as a lost soul doomed to damnation unless I awkwardly hand them a Bible tract. I can actually be friends with people who fundamentally disagree with my beliefs without pretense and without them worrying that I'm trying to convert them. I can just be myself--without making "Christian" my entire personality--and just be there for people whenever they need me.

LeBron should’ve stayed in Cleveland I’ll cut him slack for leaving the first time but the second time he left was a terrible move. I know he’s having these thoughts which is why he keeps crashing out in the media about his legacy. Winning multiple rings on a variety of superteams does not hit the same as winning 2-3 rings in Cleveland. Had he stayed, I don’t see Toronto winning in 2019 and the Cavs would’ve taken out the Heat and whoever came out the West in 2020 meaning he would’ve gotten 5 rings and 3 in Cleveland. He’d also be getting much more love right now as a Cavs player on his way out than being on a team whose fans don’t really care for him. And to be honest, the Cavs/Lebron might’ve won that 6th ring this year as Bron might’ve been enough to push them through the East

It’s not the government. It’s not the gays. It’s not the immigrants. It’s not women. It’s you.

A lot of you focus on all the bad and unjust things in the world. Just stewing in misery and negativity.

You have the power (for the most part) to make your life what you want it. You can choose a different perspective and different environment and different types of people to be around that add something positive to your life.

You don’t need to be a miserable, whiny fukk, which is what a lot of this board has become over the years. Hell, most people here can’t even watch a basketball game without bytching.

This. Always blaming other people for their misfortune instead of self evaluating, holding themselves accountable and putting a plan in place to get back on track.

People are like commodities and the one person you might need in the future could be the one person you are having a one sided beef with right now. People need to learn how to be diplomatic instead of rushing to "keep it real"

So this is a bit more media/gaming related. But its not other people's duty to include us in their shyt. For instance, seeing people ask why there aren't black people in smash or whatever video game ore movie. It ain't their job to include us. We need to be making media for us not waiting for others to do it. We need to be making our own iconic characters our own media that includes us.
