Normal religion is for weak people who can't handle the idea of ceasing to exist when you die and can't regulate their lives, thoughts, emotions, actions without someone telling them what to do. Most atheists have better morals because there's no punishment/reward in the end for them but they still behave. Of course there's exceptions to that but if you still treat people right and live an honest life with no expectations of heaven or hell then you're better than a Christian.

For a whole lot of people "being religious" seems to only mean observing a couple of rites/customs of said religion (going to church, not eating pork, praying, etc), more so than actually applying the spiritual teachings in every day life. Obviously these are the ones that also tend to be the loudest and say that you're going to Hell for not doing the same stuff as them.

The concept of face and body coverings was pushed by influential (obviously closeted) bisexual and gay Muslims who wanted to smash men and transgender without being called out for being deviants.
