The Commission hands down. Never understood why P didn't push them more. Never understood why Mac didn't get that Silkk push
Of course cause Mac ain't bloodrelated to P...Mac even had a Def Jam offer in 96/97 but preferred local powerhouse NL

Imagine Mac spittin' over those Ghetto D hits:wow: instead of Silkk

Love this thread.

It’s strange No limit isn’t my favorite or anything,but it’s for some reason the music I have the most nostalgia for.

Just reminds me of my youth so much. Fiend,silk,master p and c murder albums never left my discman for long.

Plus they just really tapped into my collector sensibilities. Loved seeing upcoming albums in the linear notes,would seek out albums based on just a single guest feature. P or whoever idea it was to do all that was a genius. They made you want to own all the albums.

@M.DOT @OHSNAP!

Was that sons of funk album a good R&B album lol?

You ever fukk with Dez from sons of funk production?

And this might be my favorite sentimental song from no limit, ever

Game Of Funk was very short but pretty good, the first cut is some hype rowdy shyt for the club, @sneakers&sex posted it above

Live Me Long, Take My Pain and Waiting On God are some of my go-to-songs when knuckleheads hate on NL. Timeless classics

master P was trying to put mac on in the year 2000 but then he got jammed
Silkk was the ladies man so that's why P put him out first
I don't think Def Jam could have promoted Mac correctly or at least get him as big as Percy did

@OHSNAP! @M.DOT

favorite BBTP producer not named KLC?

Speaking of which Fiend's street life album had 2 of the most dangerous KLC beats I've ever heard "Mr. Whomp Mr. Whomp, Talk It Like I bring It"
For me overall it has to be Craig B, he's my favorite of the entire BBTP team

However, Mo B had some ridiculous heat on the 97 albums (Tru 2 Da Game, Unlady Like...), O'Dell had the best BBTP beats in 99, and we all know KLC's classics. C-Los was the weakest of the bunch, but still alot of dope shyt (esp for his own artists Skull and Ghetto Commission)

Love Street Life, that one showed that Fiend and KL still had it
