the opponents have a few cats that actually play for that lithuanian national team, they got this game in a bag
the vytautas squad sucks but again with their budget they can't really sign some good veteran players

But with Melo its becoming easy to see that he can blow by these dudes whenever he wants. They just got to adjust and get comfortable

Probably the most swagless, weirdest, boring stretch of basketball ive ever watched.
Its clear that physically, both of the boys can hang with these guys. Gelos strength (moved around a lot of bigger guys) and Melos speed can pretty much get him around anyone of them.
Apparently they were never going to get real minutes in these more "serious" games. I understand that i guess. They could not really get in a rhythm offensively and weren't involved in the offense hardly at all. And when Melo started pushing the pace, these dudes weren't ready and the coach takes him out after a horrendous "flagrant" call. Their defense was surprisingly better than ppl give them credit for.
But aside from 3pt shooting, game was atrocious to watch. I don't think there was one highlight play, the refs called stupid shyt, hardly any defense, etc.
It's definitely not the "hardest competition" they faced like the announcer just said. Best overall team maybe but thats it.

I do like them actually there and learning more team ball and getting experience with the Euro style. It's never bad to learn...
Thing is, they can easily play team ball and tbh, I actually think the ball brothers play at a faster pace than these Euro dudes. Once Melo started pushing the pace it was clear he could run these dudes out the gym.
But still, I do believe they need to learn a lil bit more first. Get their shot together too
