It's probably before your time, but What's My Name, Nuthin' But a G Thing, and Gin and Juice were top 10 singles at a time where rap songs - outside the super cheesy ones like Ice Ice Baby and Can't Touch This - weren't charting like that. All 3 of those songs are probably bigger than any song Jay could put forward besides maybe Crazy in Love.
let's just say that ain't before my time... But if you think he won't play those first you are tripping. Those songs are big to us, yes.. But let's not act like Jay don't have those too, and more of them. After those 3 you can play maybe 3 more Snoop songs that are across the line hits. Jay plays "u don't know", "allure", "gotta have it" and other songs people forgot, not to mention "Heart of the City", "Song Cry" "Empire state of mind" "Hard Kock Life", "This Can't Be Life" "Money ain't a thing" "Can't Knock the Hustle" "What more can I Say" "Money Cash, Hoes" ... Seems like you forgot how many hits snoop has.
None of the bolded songs would fare well in a IG Live battle at all. You GOTTA be a Hov stan if you think those are across the line hits. They're good songs, but they're not hits or jams. And I love Heart of the City but I feel like that would go hard only for the Hov diehards. You gotta think to yourself if you were in a club in a city like Atlanta or LA what Jay songs would ring off.
Also, Beautiful, Murder Was the Case, and Drop It Like It's Hot were huge hits. You're severely underestimating Snoop's catalog. Either that or you don't leave NYC.
