Most people ain't up on it. But they're def one of my fav West Coast rappers. Quiet as kept they are better known outside the US than here.

Two 11/10 underground classics

What I started smokin weed to a decade ago :myman:

what was always a trip to me was how those were both one of their more popular songs, but in my honest opinion there's waayyyyyyyy better songs in their catalog

I've been a fan since like 2001 when my homeboy put me on to Question in the Form of an answer :blessed:

I can't say enough about how much I like these cats. they've been at it 20 fukking years and their catalog is ridiculously solid. their consistency is :wow:
they really were on some taking it back to the roots type and made fun music and kept that shyt analog the whole entire time :wow:

these dudes got so good at it they had their own analog equipment set up and an analog equipment manufacture asked them if they would sell them their idea and how they made it and they made millions off of it :wow: which is prolly why they can retire now :ehh:

who woulda thought after first hearing these dudes that they would retire millionaires :banderas:
and they did it the right way :jawalrus:

I've been a music journalist for close to 15 years but by my own admission I haven't written shyt in close to a year because I just haven't felt inspired. these cats' music means so much to me and been there for me through all of my adulthood. the peaks and the valleys. I've got to write a piece about them offa gp :yeshrug:

I think about all the times I seen them passing through Portland through the years and not feeling like going because opening acts(that the vast majority of the time were shytty) would take hours so I always figured I'd catch them next time when I actually felt like sitting through all that wack shyt just to hear them. now they're hanging it up :mjcry:

they'll never have the accolades of more well known, major label groups, but real heads know
I feel like I'm losing friends breh. and while I've learned to not shyt on the current state of "hip hop" them leaving makes it even more bittersweet as the bar keeps getting lower and lower and hip hop has become less and less about the actual music, and more about fukkery and clout. you can see the evidence in this very sub forum, right this second. most of the threads in here aren't about shyt, and really have nothing to do with the music itself. :snoop:

if they do a farewell tour and come through PDX again I'm gonna make sure I go and buy a shyt ton of merch

I apologize for rambling :hubie:
