You could kind of tell even back on their first album (The Funeral) that the drug lifestyle really weighed on him. Moreso than any other rapper in recent memory he always talked about the downside side of doing dirt and not just the glitz and glamour which is why I personally preferred him to Pusha. He gave you the entire aspect and had more depth. His verse on I'm not You is one of my favorites of all time.

"It shames me to no end to feed poison
To those who could very well be my kin

But where there's demand, someone will supply
So I feed them their needs at the same time cry

Yes, it pains me to see them need this
All of them lost souls and I'm their Jesus
Deepest regret and sympathy to the street
I see them pay for they fix when they kids couldn't eat, so sorry

And with this in mind, I still didn't quit
And that's how I know that I ain't shyt, I ain't shyt

My heart bleed but that's aside from the fact
I live from my kids and their's and them youngin's after that"

:salute:

I still feel like they coulda remained Clipse cause like the interviewer said Malice has tons of verses where he's basically rappin about redemption and The Lord with hardly any curses so it wouldn't really matter.

It would just mean they'd have to trim the fat as far as glorifying the hustle.
Well when you turn your life to God you realize everything isn't really good , rappers think they're blessed because of the position in there in but it's all deception

God took the base out of Mals voice.

If Pusha was even half as conscious as Malice, he could be on some GOAT-level shyt fareal :patrice:

The thing is Pusha tries TOO hard to push that D-boy agenda to the point where you know he's bullshyttin.

he'd be Jay-Z level nice.
Pusha and Mal together were like the two sides of the Jay-Z coin to me.

Not a dude whose heavy in that religions shyt but I believe this nig..... Also read his book

But I also read mase book........smh

Remember when that lame nig did his preaching tour around the 5 boroughs of nyc

i think we can all now see Mal's is genuine
Mase situation felt like some strange shyt out of a movie.

like a character had a little near death experience with someone wanting to kill him so he fled and turned up somewhere else and started anew....as if people wouldn't realize he is rap superstar Ma$e.
