What I don't really get, is all the people playing the game gone be on the same server in the same universe?
Let's say there is 1 million people online at once, are all the 1 million traveling in the same game? Cause if there is like a 32 player limitation per game, of course nobody will ever cross paths.
again, this is not like other games. the graphics are not technically going to be sitting on the server. just our coordinates. like say me Rapbeats X=25, Y 450, Z = 377. Thats where i'm located at this point in time. You will be X=70, y=200, z=560.
All the graphics will be generated on each of our consoles or pc's. which frees up ram on the servers. which is why it can hold a ton of coordinates before it starts to slow down and glitch out like other normal games that have a lot of the actual GAME on the server. . it will also have the names we upload to the atlas on the server as well. so in other words its just one giant database of real time coordinates and names of stuff. nothing more, nothing less.
if by some lotto chance you run across another human player. You will both be within a certain distance from one another and this is how you're in the same lobby together. its like each of us has a certain radius circle around our player. if someone slips into that space we're in the same lobby together playing together. but again, thats a Lotto chance. at least at the beginning of the game.
The crazy thing about this game is their will be no balancing when you start. since we are all flung out on the outskirts of the first galaxy(not universe). some may end up on planets with all sorts of resources and tech, others may start on harsher planets.
the beauty of that is, its just like real life. How humans were placed where they were or some will say at some point humans travelled to different areas. but as far as we know. White people came from a very cold harsh climate without a lot of resources, while darker skin folks had a ton of resources. which is some people's theory into why white people turned into colonizers because they had to or else they would've gone extinct. So for a person that is more or less born on that kind of harsh planet. you will learn now to survive the harshness early on in the game. while someone else will not know anything about that life. so when they leave their first planet and end up on something harsher, i'll put money on the fact they will continually die off until they figure out what you already know. Thats where the balance will come in. but these are things no one talks about. because they dont understand how this game will work for some odd reason even though the dev have told you this numerous times. people dont listen. they dream of what they WISH things were and rarely listen to what things actually are.
