So what exactly isn't in the game that was promised? Besides the multiplayer thing, which they said was unlikely you'd ever run into players.
My main thing that got me glad I didn't buy this day one, was how much they was talking out their asses about how "Everything you do will have an effect" on some spit seeds in Fable and watch a tree grow up as you get older shyt. They was talking HEAVILY about how the wildlife interacts with each other, how certain animals are more aggressive towards you compared to others which are docile. Certain animals you could scare away by shooting at their feet but the more savage ones might rush you if they in a pack. Animals supposed to be feeding, each one eating a certain type of leaf/food/animal that would lead you to tag 'em and follow 'em if you were looking for the type of animal or foilage they ate. Lots of interesting shyt.
The animals in the game all walk into trees, mime eating bush and from the looks of it, are randomly generated bodyparts on each planet, that's it.
They were also talking about joining different factions and playing the game as a space pirate, a trader, a mercenary and all sorts of other bullshyt which had my hype too 'cause factions were suppose to be collective groups of likeminded people that you could join if you wanted to play a certain way. Wanted to blast shyt, not answer to no one and forge a path for yourself? Join this faction. You more interested in cataloguing life, mine materials and trade? Join this faction.
From what I hear, factions don't do shyt, the NPC (Are there more than one?) is the same on each planet and everyone pretty much treats you the same, regardless. You in a faction, you getting shot up and them dudes just watch.
It ain't so much the hype with most people, it's just that certain elements they really gushed about were straight up omitted after they buttered us up for weeks during them final months as if they were being written and coded into the game right now. Bullshyt.
And that's just my problems with it. Alot of people went ham about the physics, the fact that the sky is static instead of representing actual planets you can shoot to or some shyt, the fact that you can't ever reach the sun...so many other shyt in that list, it's disheartening.
By itself it's prolly a decent game and I'm sure my simple ass can boot it up right now and enjoy the monotony 'cause I like that sort of shyt but...this is just.....bullshyt. I ain't ever been so disapointed in a game doing a bait and switch since Kane and Lynch.
