Not speaking specifically to you. But we are not in the same situation as other teams. A lot of the 49ers contracts come off the books after 2026 anyway and we are losing players regardless. Basically paying or not paying Purdy doesn't preclude us from making moves as.we have to upgrade through the draft and cheap FAs regardless. Basically if we make most of the money guaranteed in the first two year the dollar amount doesn't matter in the long run.
