I’ve told my story plenty of time on here but I 100% agree. You think you’re doing someone a favor then you find yourself with no peace, dealing with someone else’s bullshyt entitlement and can’t get them out legally…it’s a no go for me.
Is that the nikka who wouldn’t flush when he finished? :mjlol:

Definitely hear where y'all are coming from but I've been on both ends and am grateful for those that let me stay when I was down bad.

When I was like 7 or 8 we let a woman and her kid stay with us. She was leaving an abusive relationship and needed to stack up to get back on her feet. They stayed through Christmas and my parents got him a big wheel. Mannn I was jealous as hell . Dad pulled me aside and gave me some game. Really shaped my perspective. Since then I've let one brother live with me, lived with a friend until I could get back on my feet, slept on a couch or two, and honestly worse. All in all I've been blessed and appreciate being in the position to potentially offer the same to others.

Also, if you do trust the person seeking help but still want security, just find a sample lease that's valid in your state and have them sign it. Put your stipulations in and you'll have real protection in case things go south.

I had a whole crib to myself at 20 under unususal circumstances, but I had a roommate in college for 2 years before that. Couldn't stand dude towards the end. He wasn't all that bad to be honest. I just need space at times and a dorm is too small when you need to just be left alone.

Ever since then I swore off roommates because I had/have close friends who were worse than my roommate because they acted like they had no home-training.

I had one friend when I was 20, crashed at my crib for a few weeks because he ran into issues with his BM. Ate everything in the house, but only replenished shyt once in a blue moon with shyt he only wanted. Another time this nikka cut his toenails on my computer chair, and left the fukking nails on the chair...we fell out for a period of time because dude had no fukking self awareness.

You’d have to lay down the rules. Off the top. When shyt hit the fan for me like a decade ago, I had a choice to either move home if possibly stay with an ex… I chose home. Best decision I ever made.

Man, the worst feeling is someone violating your home and feeling entitled enough to refuse leaving.

I really wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone.

Only way to do that is if you have an apt on your house you don’t mind giving to someone for free cause that’s what it’s gonna end up being. Unless it’s your kid or someone running from domestic violence, there are obvious exceptions to this.
Truth be told if you don't have the backbone to put someone out you shouldn't let anyone stay with you that's not a temporary stay. Ya homey that split up from his wife will only need a few months to get on his feet. Ya homey that's never been independent not suddenly going to get a good job and start being stable just cuz he stay with you:usure:

Gotta see that Netflix series. Worst roommate .

One dude would show up at Craigslist room rentals. Move in and never pay. Then tell em it's his house. He practiced law so he would take the home owner to court and actually win.

He did thus for like 8 years straight. Even lived with a woman for 5 years against her will.

He was doing this shyt up and down the whole east coast. You come home and he would rearrange the whole house.

Google Jamsion Bachman. His story is fukking bugged out

Breh I watched this yesterday. That Jamison dude…
